There’s a lot of postmortem going on about the election, right wing pundits scratching their heads and trying to figure out why they lost. I can save them some time: because people recognize a crap deal even when it’s dressed up in God and Country. You can’t run on sheer nationalism alone. Not anymore. You need to run on ideas that work in reality, not the alternate dimension in your head that you wish was real.
