I suspect there is a strong selective pressure against babies that can talk immediately after they are born.

Speaking of babies, my wife just made two! On April 3, we welcomed Alec Douglas and Benjamin Kurt into our family. They’re a bit early, so they’re living at the hospital for the next couple of months until they’re ready to eat come home. I have no idea what this means for the comic’s schedule but I’m itching to start drawing regularly again and I’ll try to keep ’em coming as frequently as possible.
